Ah, it's that time of year! Get ready to wrap up warm, enjoy some hot cider, decorate the Christmas tree... oh, and of course, do a Reddit deep dive into one of the most beloved holiday films of all time.
Yep, the people of Reddit have a pretty wild theory about one of the main characters in The Holiday, and it's definitely, erm, out there... so buckle up.
Let's do a quick recap for those who either aren't in the know or haven't seen the classic 2006 rom-com for quite a while...
The Holiday follows two women from different countries, played by Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet, as they swap homes for the festive season to escape their relationship problems.
Amanda (Diaz), a big-time movie trailer executive from Los Angeles, finds out her partner has been cheating on her, while Iris (Winslet) in London is heartbroken when she finds out her long-time crush is going to get married.
Long story short, when the two women swap homes for the holidays, they each embark on a new romance - with Amanda meeting Iris' charming brother Graham, played by Jude Law.
Graham, a British bachelor who's also a single dad after his wife died isn't looking for love, but low and behold, he ends up falling head over heels for Amanda and *spoiler alert* they live happily ever after. Ah, love it when that happens, don't you?

Also starring the likes of Jack Black and Eli Wallach, the film likely remains so popular almost two decades on because it's just so wholesome.
But if we're to listen to the folk over on Reddit, there might be a more sinister undertone to Graham's character.
The popular fan theory claims that the reason why Graham comes across as the sweetest man ever is simply because he killed his first wife, and is devising a plan to kill Amanda, too.
Yikes.
The theory goes: "Jude Law already murdered his first wife so he could inherit her house.
"Now he and his sister have used the house swap scheme to get Cameron Diaz into their town while Kate Winslet can investigate and make sure Cameron has enough money and property (and no family/entanglements) to be worth the effort of seducing her and then disposing of her.
What's hiding behind that charming smile? (Universal Pictures)
"Kate is so overjoyed to see how grand and luxurious Cameron's house is because she knows she and Jude have hit the jackpot.
"Meanwhile, Jude carefully sets up an 'accidental' meeting and manipulates Cameron to develop a relationship and get his claws into her.
"Everything that follows is orchestrated to carry out their plot."
That's it, Christmas is ruined...
