In an appearance on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay podcast, Fat Joe spoke about how Scott Storch managed to waste away all of his money after becoming one of the most successful producers in hip-hop.

Sharpe asked Fat Joe how Storch was able to go from being a producer as big or bigger than Dr. Dre, to filing for bankruptcy in 2015. "You use a lot of drugs, and he admits it," Joe shared. "This ain't me talking behind his back. Drugs fucked him up. ... People don't disrespect me and do crazy shit in front of me. So whenever I went to hang out with Scott Storch, because he's my brother, they wouldn't use no drugs, they wouldn't sniff no cocaine, they wouldn't do no nothing. Scott Storch told me that the second I would walk out that door, a kilo of cocaine would come running through the door like it was raining coke."

Joe said that Storch "fucked up $90 million" and was perhaps a little too "generous with women." He recalled one time when he went to a strip club in Houston and a woman approached him to tell him that Storch gave her expensive jewelry. "She had a rock so fucking big," he said. "I was like, 'Man, I was about to rob this girl, right.' ... To women, he was just awfully generous. So he was buying girls Rolls-Royces."

Joe described Storch as "so talented" when it came to producing, but suggested that he had an issue with spending at the peak of his career. He added that he once saw Storch pay $2 million for a Bugatti or a similarly expensive exotic car so casually that it seemed like an everyday transaction for him.

"I never use drugs because I might like it," Joe continued. "Scott Storch, he had two of the most famous women in the world at the same time, they were gonna ménage [à trois] him. One threw the cocaine on the girl and was like, 'Yo, you want to get the thing going?' I mean, the most famous girls on Earth. He sniffed that cocaine off her shit, and he said the second he sniffed that it was never the same. ... He wound up fucking his whole life up with that."

From the mid-'90s to the mid-'00s, Storch was one of the most powerful producers in hip-hop and R&B. He produced five Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, including tracks from Beyoncé, Mario, Chris Brown, and 50 Cent. In an interview with MTV News in 2009, his friend Derek Jackson said that he squandered $30 million in just six months thanks to his drug addiction.
