Ferne McCann and her fiancé Lorri Haines have publicly denied rumors of a breakup, following reports suggesting the couple had parted ways.
The former The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) star, 34, took to Instagram during her Dancing On Ice rehearsals to confirm that she and Lorri, 33, remain committed.
‘We haven’t split. I am just as miffed. We’re still very much together, living together, and even back in the same bed. Ferne told her followers.
‘The only reason we’d be arguing is because, bless Finty, she’s been waking up at 4 a.m., and I’m one tired mama. So, if anyone has any tips on that, it would be very much appreciated.’
The couple’s relationship has been a subject of public scrutiny, particularly with the airing of their ITVBe reality series My Family & Me.
Their occasional arguments on the show have sparked speculation about the state of their relationship, amplified by Ferne’s recent decision to forego her engagement ring during public appearances.
However, Ferne’s engagement ring absence may have a practical explanation – her intensive Dancing On Ice rehearsals with professional partner Brendan Hatfield.
Wearing the ring could risk damage during practice sessions ahead of the series premiere early next year.
Lorri also addressed the breakup rumors to The Mirror, expressing confusion over the reports. ‘It’s news to me and to us. I just called her and said, “Have we broken up?” and she was like, “What are you talking about?” So, not sure where the story’s come from, but I’m here to tell you we are absolutely fine.’
He added, ‘Life is very good for us both; we’re in a committed relationship.’
The rumors of a split emerged after reports suggested the couple had a major disagreement, with sources claiming Ferne was taking ‘time out’ from the relationship.
These reports, paired with her Instagram feed showing less of Lorri, fueled the narrative that their engagement was in trouble.
Ferne and Lorri’s relationship has been a whirlwind since its inception. They got engaged in 2022, just seven months after they began dating, and welcomed their daughter, Finty, shortly after.
Alongside a picture of the pair kissing and showing off her ring, Ferne wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘So happily ever afters do exist 🥰💍❤️🇫🇷.
‘I cannot wait to do forever with you baby @lozzahaines.’
Meanwhile on Lorri’s page, he posted a similar picture with Frank Ocean’s Godspeed lyrics ‘I will always love you,’ playing over.
Ferne is also a mother to Sunday, 7, from her previous relationship with Arthur Collins, who is currently serving a prison sentence.
Lorri, in turn, has a son, Noah, 7, from a past relationship.
While their journey has been marked by ups and downs, both Ferne and Lorri insist they are navigating the challenges of parenthood and busy schedules together.
The news comes up in the wake of Ferne revealing she will not be returning to her reality TV series Ferne McCann: My Family & Me after 13 series and seven years on the screen.
Ferne first showed her life to fans with Ferne McCann: First Time Mum in 2017, a reality series that focused on her pregnancy and solo parenting with her daughter Sunday.
As her daughter grew up and she then met her partner Lorri Haines and had another daughter named Finty, the show evolved into Ferne McCann: My Family & Me.
The star has now revealed that she has made the ‘difficult’ decision to make the upcoming season her last.
‘After an incredible 13 series I have made the very difficult decision that this series of @fernemyfamandme will be my last.’
She thanked ITV and reflected on her time: ‘This show has been such an incredible part of my life for the last seven years and what a ride it has been filming from being pregnant with Sunday to now. Your support and loyalty to me and my family has, at times, lifted me more than you will ever know. Thank you.’
‘From the day I started filming I have poured my heart and soul in to the series. I genuinely feel like I’ve laughed, cried, loved and lived with you, sharing all the ups and downs.
The former Towie star detailed that she was specifically thinking about her daughter Sunday when making this decision as she wants her to ‘take her own path.’
‘This decision hasnt been an easy one 💔 but it feels like now is the right time for a change. I made this decision with my children (especially Sunday who has been on this full journey with me) in mind.
‘They are my absolute priority and Sunday is now at an age where she is very much her own little person and I want her to go out there and take her own path,’ she said.
