Heather Dubrow has been starring on RHOC since 2012. Twelve years on and her movie star history is catching up with her, as viewers are convinced she’s putting on a false front for TV cameras.

The Real Housewives of Orange County has followed her personal and professional life for over a decade. Before her reality TV fame though, Heather Dubrow was on a CBS television series for two years.

Heather Dubrow has an acting past

Heather Dubrow was an actress for years. She played the role of Lydia DeLucca on the CBS television series That’s Life from 2000 through 2002, and has kept acting up until 2017.

Her first acting debut was in 1994, when she played Cherise on Married
with Children, which led to several appearances across the likes of TV series like Men Behaving Badly and Jenny.

Movies also featured Dubrow until 2017, such as Now You Know in 2002. Her most recent acting gig was in Young & Hungry, playing Natasha Cook Campbell for one episode.

RHOC fans think she’s ‘faking storylines’

Although RHOC has been Dubrow’s longest-running appearance, fans are convinced she’s playing up for cameras in a bid to be hired for acting gigs. A Reddit thread has been launched to discuss her “acting”.

One fan wrote, “Does anyone else get the sense that because no one will hire her for acting gigs, Heather chooses to “act” on the show?” Another said, “I absolutely cannot stand her fake smiles and fake convos.”

“One million percent Heather sees the show as an acting job. There is no part of her that has any interest in sharing her real life or real thoughts & emotions,” guessed another Bravo viewer.

She’s ‘here to start conversations’

Despite fan theories, Dubrow’s Instagram bio literally states that her purpose is to “start conversations”. She’s also previously said she took a break from acting to focus on her four children.

Heather has also written three books on health and wellness. Her first was in 2016, teaching her guide to the best anti-aging treatments, followed by The Dubrow Diet and The Dubrow Keto Fusion Diet.

She may not be securing acting gigs but hosting is where it’s at for Dubrow! In June 2020, it was announced she and husband Terry Dubrow would host and produce The Seven Year Stitch for E!.
