A peculiar announcement on Instagram by Russian-born Australian former tennis player Arina Rodionova made headlines recently, both for the form and the substance, as she announced her separation and divorce from footballer Ty Vickery by means of a video in which the two appear, in a dynamic that ended in laughter because of a joke from him to her, in order to make the announcement less solemn.
A divorce by mutual consent and with laughter
Rodionova told the camera her announcement: "Hello guys, we have a quick announcement to make, we're getting divorced. Life happens. We love each other very much, but sometimes it's not enough. We're fine, we're fine with each other, we wish each other the best," she concluded while without looking at her now ex-partner, she held out her hand. Vickery, who was eating a banana, did not hesitate to put the fruit instead of his hand, which made Arina burst into laughter, infecting him, of course.
In this way, the former tennis player announced a personal event that few people would be aware of, were it not for the fact that days before her separation process she announced her retirement after being eliminated from the Australian Open by German Eva Lys. Before this news, she also made the announcement of her new account on the OnlyFans platform, something that was to be expected, as she is fond of taking spicy photos on her Instagram, and some of her followers claim that this is the trigger for her divorce.
"You'll make more money on OF than in tennis"
At 35 years of age,Rodionova is ranked 184th in the WTA rankings, having been as high as 97th, becoming the oldest woman in the top 100 and the best Australian tennis player in the same list.
So success in tennis was not exactly what she would have wished for, but her activity on social networks in which she defines herself as "a tennis player, but fun" made Rodionova gradually make the decision to open an account on the aforementioned platform, after a follower recommended her to "Quit tennis, you'll make more money with OnlyFans".
Arina finally relented and on January 12 made the official announcement on her Instagram: "Good news for everyone who was asking. My OnlyFans account was confirmed, so here we go. Let's do it".
