Future has released the video for "Lost My Dog," the standout track off of his latest project Mixtape Pluto.
The Henri Alexander Levy-directed visual finds Future reflecting on the loss of a close friend, who died of a fentanyl overdose. "Lookin’ at his texts, he was battlin' with depression, I should've seen the signs as soon as I received the message," he raps.
Future also opens up about other realizations he made after the death of his friend. While he unfortunately cannot change the past, the 41-year-old rapper wants to do everything he can to prevent others from feeling the pain that he has felt.
According to Rolling Stone, Future announced he is making a donation to D.A.R.E.'s anti-drug educational programs through his Freewishes Foundation. Epic, the distributor for his label Freebandz, has also pledged a donation. If you also want to make a contribution, click here.
Future could have new music out in the near future. The rapper shared a post on Instagram featuring what appears to be unreleased music and hinted in the caption that more music is on the way. The clip features shots of the ATL rapper with Pharrell.
"New Tape OTW," he simply wrote.
