Samsung has been leaning heavily into trade-in deals for years now, and the offers for its latest Galaxy S25 series are significantly better than the last generation. Here are the highlights, and how to get an additional $50 off.
Like many others, Samsung uses boosted trade-in values to help buyers get the company’s latest devices at a discount, and the Galaxy S25 series is no exception. In fact, we’re seeing considerably higher trade-in values for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra compared to the prior generation.
With the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung maxed out trade-in values during pre-orders at $750. This year, that value is boosted up to $900, meaning you can trade up to the Galaxy S25 Ultra for as little as $400. This number is also nearly doubled from the Galaxy S23 series’ $500 cap.
As per usual, trade-in values vary between devices. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is eligible for up to $900 in credit, the Galaxy S25+ up to $700, and the Galaxy S25 up to $500. Samsung will also throw in up to $300 in addition credit with S25 Ultra and $100 with S25+ for storage upgrades, additional devices, or even Samsung Care+ and its free screen repairs.
One standout is the trade-in value Samsung is handing out towards its last Galaxy Note, the Note 20 Ultra.
