Samsung is all set to bring the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to the market in the second half of 2025. In a recent report published by The Elect, it has been mentioned that the smartphone will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 2500 processor. This comes as a major change as previously, the South Korean smartphone giant was using processors created by Qualcomm.
And the same has been confirmed in the previous leaks and rumors related to the smartphone as well. It also has been reported in the past that the Samsung Exynos processor will be limited to a few lineups and all other devices by the company will use Snapdragon processors. It was also being said that the Galaxy S series devices will not have the Exynos chipset and that stands out to be true as all things point at the whole series using the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
Exynos 2500 processor in Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
To confirm all that, a star-studded Samsung official has also said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the Samsung Exynos 2500 processor. And the mass production of the chip will commence in 2025 according to all the reports.
This marks the debut of the Exynos processors in the foldable segment. And they will give tough competition to Qualcomm as they are the ones ruling the market as of now. However, the volume of the upcoming chipset by Samsung is going to be pretty low. Samsung is expecting to produce around 229.3 million units next year out of which only 3 million will be the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
It will be interesting to see how the whole experiment of bringing an Exynos processor into a flagship foldable device will work out for Samsung. One thing that we already know is that the competition is going to be real between Qualcomm and Samsung.
