As the beloved series Gavin and Stacey wrapped up with a heart-tugging finale last month, Melanie Walters, who portrays Gwen, has opened up about the buzz surrounding a potential spin-off featuring her character.
On a fresh instalment of the Off The Telly podcast, Melanie Walters, known to fans as the lovable Gwen from Gavin and Stacey, faced probing by host Natalie Cassidy on the prospects of headlining her own show: "If someone said to you we're going to make Gwen and Dave's 'In the house', would you do it?".
Melanie tantalised fans with her cryptic reply, offering a non-committal "I don't know, I don't know."
Throughout the series, Melanie's alter ego was the epitome of selflessness, but in the show's climactic episode, viewers cheered as Gwen finally embraced her own desires, sparking a romance with Dave Coaches, brought to life by Steffan Rhodri.
Despite Melanie playing coy about the idea of a spin-off with her on-screen beau, she revealed that another cast member was more than keen on a Gavin and Stacey comeback even after the final episode aired last month, reports Wales Online.
