GK Barry and Ella Rutherford spark marriage rumours thanks to footballer's telling comment

GK Barry's girlfriend Ella Rutherford is fuelling speculation that they may have become married following the podcast star's triumphant appearance on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

GK, whose real name is Grace Keeling, 25, was effectively in fifth place during the 2024 season of I'm A Celeb after entering the jungle and winning over the hearts of viewers with her hilarious observations and open approach to every conversation. However, her heart belongs to Ipswich Town footballer Ella, 24, with the ladies confirming their romance earlier this year and with the sport star waiting to welcome the podcaster when she exited the jungle earlier this month.

Now fans are abuzz with speculation that the pair may have secretly married - with Ella seemingly pouring fuel on the fire of rumours. Taking to social media on Thursday, Ella raised eyebrows as she noticeably referenced GK as a more significant other than a mere girlfriend.

Sharing a stash of images from her trip to Australia, she wrote: "Flew to the jungle to get my wife. Met the most amazing people along the way and made memories that will last a life time. You made us all so proud beautiful, I love you with all my heart, I have everything I’ll ever need."

Her comments wowed followers who rushed to the comments to gush over what a perfect couple they make. One fan wrote in the comments: "@ellarutherford_ got her wife Whata gem." And another typed: "You guys are both beautiful and pretty and a cute couple!" And another wrote: "You two are the cutest! So glad you went out to meet her it was such a lovely reunion."

GK proudly talked about her relationship while in the jungle. She said: “It was by accident I found Ella, through a mutual friend and then I really liked her the first day I met her but I’d never told my parents. I’d mentioned, ‘Oh I’m just going to see my friend Ella’ or ‘I’m staying round Ella’s’ so they’d heard her name.”

And recounting a situation when her parents came to visit while Ella was under the roof, and they asked who she was. GK simply told her family: "I told them 'Oh. she’s my girlfriend'. They just love her, they never had an issue with it. To be fair I feel like the closet may have been glass!”

After leaving the jungle, GK vowed never to walk away from her girlfriend again. She said: "Never again, are we leaving each other. We must be joined at the hip at all times. She basically said to me, this is your moment.….this is all about you. I feel like it says a lot about her."
