Paul Mescal, the star of “Gladiator 2” has a new girlfriend named Gracie Abrams, according to People Magazine.
Interest in the 28-year-old Irish actor is spiking due to his star turn as Lucius, who returns to Rome as a slave to reclaim his rightful heritage and liberate the Roman people.
Mescal is in a relationship, People reported. “Gracie and Paul are the real deal,” a source told People adding that Mescal and Abrams, 25, are planning a vacation together.
“They’re at the top of their game and always in communication,” the source told People.

Parade reported that Abrams, a singer, and Mescal attended the “Gladiator 2” after-party together at the movie’s premiere. According to Parae, Abrams is “a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter hailing from Los Angeles, California, whose parents are “filmmaker J.J. Abrams” and Katie McGrath. Abrams opened for Taylor Swift during her recent concert tour, according to Parade.

He told GQ that he has “learned that there’s certain lines in the sand now for me that just are going to be impenetrable for the benefit of my own sanity.”
“The speculation has been kind of mad for the last x amount of years,” he told GQ. “I’m not comfortable inviting any access into that part of my life. How I am in my private life is so precious to me because I get very little of it, and it might be public interest, but it’s not public-obligated information.”
According to Parade, Mescal previously dated musician Phoebe Bridgers for two years, starring in her music video.
After they broke up, Mescal was seen having coffee with actress Angelina Jolie, and Bridgers was spotted with comedian Bo Burnham, according to People, which noted that Jolie said the meeting was platonic.
“The stuff that hurts is the personal stuff. It’s nobody else’s business and should never be commented on because it’s indecent. And it’s unkind,” he told Harper’s Bazaar. “Honest answer, it makes me angry. … It’s the entitlement to the information that people expect that just drives me (expletive) mad.”
