FESTIVAL goers think they've worked out the latest addition to this year's Glastonbury line-up.

One fan posting on the Glastonbury Festival Community page on Reddit thinks they've joined the dots.

Ans the latest name they believe will soon be confirmed for Glastonbury 2025, is recently reformed pop group the Scissor Sisters.

They said: "Scissor Sisters? They are on a UK arena tour which ends in May and think that'd be a blast."

But another is unconvinced the band, who now perform without departed singer Ana Matronic, will be as good as they once were.

They said: "Bit sad without Anna though, feels like they won't have the impact they could have had."

Last year the Scissor Sisters confirmed they were reuniting and embarking on a UK tour, two decades after their debut album hit the charts.

The group teased their reunion, after 12 years apart, by beaming their logo onto various UK venues, including London's O2 Arena and Manchester's Co-op Live.

This was swiftly followed by confirmation of a UK and Ireland tour, kicking off at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena on May 16, and finishing at the 3Arena in Dublin on May 28.

Glastonbury Festival, which the Scissor Sisters previously played at in 2004, runs from June 25-29.

Although Ana decided not to return, the reformed band will still include singer Jake Shears, bassist and keyboard player Babydaddy, guitarist Del Marquis, and drummer Randy Real.

Despite the long hiatus, singer Jake said last year that he hoped to soon be releasing new music with the group.

Discussing the possibility of a new album, he said: “I would love to. It’s really a dream of mine and I hope that I can make it happen someday.”

Jake made an appearance on Sophie Ellis Bextor's New Year's Eve Disco special on BBC One.

He played one of the group's best known tracks Filthy/Gorgeous, with host Sophie performing the female vocal, which was previously sung by Ana.

Neil Young recently confirmed he was pulling out of Glastonbury, having been due to play with his new band The Chrome Hearts.

The 79-year-old claimed the festival coming "under corporate control" is the reason he won't be taking to the stage in Somerset.

Posting on his website, he said: "The Chrome Hearts and I were looking forward to playing Glastonbury, one of my all time favourite outdoor gigs.

"We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way that we were not interested in.

"It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being."

Glastonbury 2025 - rumoured acts

THE Glastonbury line-up hasn't been confirmed - despite the fact tickets for the 2025 event sold out in minutes. Here are some rumoured acts.

Basement Jaxx sparked speculation they will be playing at Worthy Fam after leaving a "Glastonbury shaped gap" in their latest tour schedule.

It came after the hit duo announced their first live shows in 10 years - with gig-goers calling out a key "clue" in the order of their concert dates.

Yet acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Eminem are rumoured to be in the mix.

Canadian songstress Alanis Morrisette and Simple Minds have also been tipped to take to the stage.

The event will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday June 29 for 2025.
