GloRilla is clearing the air regarding her rumored beef with JT.
While discussing her debut album, GLORIOUS, with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, the rapper confessed that there wasn’t an actual beef with the former City Girls star.
“Me and JT are actually cool,” Glo explained around the 10:26 minute mark. “That’s kind of the situation that we had. It was the fans. It was super unnecessary. It was really fueled by the fans. And I see that with other artists. The fans always try, but I don’t let the fans get to me like that. I already know what they wanna do, [and] tryna do. The thing with me is, like, when I see them tryna make a narrative, I do my best to steer away from it on purpose.”
Glo and JT addressed their “beef” in a heated exchange back in April. On “Aite,” GloRilla name-drops JT, stating: “I just pray one day the bad b***hes would come together/ ’Cause Cardi and Nicki on a track would break some f**kin’ records/ Me and JT ain’t the best of friends but we ain’t beefin’/ Know b***hes always havin’ [animosity] that they keep a secret.”
JT accused Glo of playing into the rumors over their alleged physical altercation. “Played into, released a song about slapping rap bi**hes now it’s female unity?? CORNY!!!!!,” she tweeted before claiming that it was “on brand” for Glo.
To which the Memphis emcee responded, “H*e shut yo dumb a** up & fix dem [ugly a**] wigs. I said it ain’t no beef ho; you da one with da secret animosity.” The two went back-and-forth for awhile until things eventually calmed down.
