Go Behind the Scenes with Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan & the 'Outlander' Cast at the SheKnows x TVLine Cover Shoot

What happens when one of television’s best casts gets together to celebrate the penultimate season of their hit show, Outlander? Well, SheKnows and TVLine found out! Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin and John Bell descended on New York City, and dropped by our studio for some debauchery, reminiscing, dancing, and of course, heartwarming chaos that only they can deliver. Season 7b of Outlander has been action-packed with Jamie being presumed dead, and Claire re-marrying a day later (!), then having an intimate moment with Lord John Grey (David Berry) that surprised everyone, including the cast, and then Jamie coming back from the dead. This week’s episode is sure to bring the drama, with Jamie finding out about Claire and Lord John’s super strange wedding night. It promises that the couple face off in a fiery way that only Jamie and Claire can do. William (Charles Vandervaart) also reacts to the big truth bomb dropped on him last week, that Jamie Fraser is his real father. Claire, Jamie and Lord John all face his confused, “Who’s my Daddy?” wrath.

The endless joy with the Outlander cast doesn’t just end here with this behind-the-scenes compilation. SheKnows talked with Balfe and Heughan during the shoot. Find out what they had to say about their real first impressions of each other, their sadness about separations, and their own, ‘conscious uncoupling,’ after wrapping filming on the eighth and final season of Outlander. Balfe confronts Heughan on something he said 11 years ago, and his hilarious “apology” goes really well.
