Golden Globes 2025: The Complete Guide to Parties and Events (Updating)

Hollywood is hitting the ground running in 2025 and kicking off awards season celebrations as soon as the new year arrives, accompanying the Golden Globes on Jan. 5. Though the pre-pandemic glory days of party-hopping around The Beverly Hilton have largely vanished — both the result of industry cutbacks and studio consolidation — there are still plenty of ways to toast this year’s contenders over the first awards weekend of the year. Friday, Jan. 3 

Palm Springs International Film Awards

The first major red carpet of 2025 will take place in the desert, as stars including Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie will be honored at the annual Palm Springs celebration, before rushing back to Los Angeles for Globes festivities. 

Golden Gala: An Evening of Excellence
The Beverly Hilton 
Ahead of the televised ceremony, the Golden Globes will hand out its honorary Cecil B. DeMille and Carol Burnett awards — to Viola Davis and Ted Danson, respectively — at a special dinner event in Beverly Hills. Meryl Streep will present to Viola Davis, while Mary Steenburgen will present to husband Danson; both recipients will also be recognized during the Globes broadcast.

Women’s Wear Daily will host its first-ever celebration of awards-season style to kick off Golden Globes weekend, with honorees including Tracee Ellis Ross, Anna Sawai, Wes Gordon and Chris Appleton.

Saturday, Jan. 4 

Paramount Golden Globes Nominee Celebration

Led by nominees Gladiator II and September 5, the studio will hold a Beverly Hills toast ahead of the Globes, which airs on Paramount platforms CBS and Paramount+.  

Spirit Awards Nominee Brunch

The Film Independent Spirit Awards may not be taking place until February, but the show is getting a jump on its celebrations, hosting a Santa Monica brunch for its nominees and presenting its Emerging Filmmaker Awards.

W Magazine Best Performances Party 
Chateau Marmont Penthouse
Editor-in-chief Sara Moonves and the mag’s Lynn Hirschberg will once again host the star-studded celebration, highlighting the soon-to-be-announced cover stars of W‘s annual Best Performances Issue.

Amazon MGM Studios x Vanity Fair Party

Amazon will honor its nominees, led by nods for Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Challengers and Nickel Boys, in partnership with Vanity Fair.

82nd Annual Golden Globes

Wicked, Conclave, The Wild Robot and Twisters honorees, accounting for 14 total Globes noms, will be feted at Universal’s afterparty.

Young Hollywood & the Breakout Stars of 2024
Academy LA
Affinity Nightlife, in partnership with nonprofit organization The Thirst Project, will celebrate the town’s newest stars with a black-tie afterparty in Hollywood and a guest list featuring Bella Thorne, Jenn Tran and Dixie and Charli D’Amelio.
