A grandmother in Memphis, Tennessee has been taken into custody after allegedly stabbing her daughter and grandson on Thanksgiving, according to local police.
Fox 13 Memphis reported that police responded to an aggravated assault at a South Memphis address on Thursday.
Police said they spoke to the main victim, who said she had been arguing with her mother, the suspect, after she pushed the victim's son.
The victim said she was arguing with her mother, and when she looked away, her mother charged her with a knife she had gotten from the kitchen.
The victim sustained an abrasion to her left hand. The suspect then stabbed her grandson in the left hand near his thumb, police said.
According to the victim, her mother was drinking and possibly heavily intoxicated at the time of the incident.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and she was brought to Jail East, a facility 16 miles out of Memphis, police said.
