Once you've reached the Kutternberg region in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, you'll quickly find that the easiest way to turn a profit is by stripping all your fallen foes of their armor and selling it on. However, that's not nearly as fun as going on a grand treasure hunt for great riches, and thankfully, there is one such man who promises you just that.

A man by the name of Krizhan in the village of Pschitoky will offer to sell you a treasure map he's found, and once you have it, it's your job to track down the loot. We'll explain where to find the treasure, and what you need to do afterward to finish the quest.

This isn't the only quest in the Kutternberg region that requires you to go on a scavenger hunt. Check out our guide on The Thunderstone quest in Kingdom Come 2 for more adventures.

Where to Find the Treasure in KCD2

The map leads you to a spot in the wilderness north of Kutternberg, as shown in the image above. All you'll find there is a group of hostile bandits. Take them out and search them and you'll find the exact same map on one of the corpses. On top of that, head inside the opening that the map indicates and all you'll find when you dig is three empty graves with no treasure to be found.

With things seeming mighty suspicious, you'll head back to Krizhan and confront him, where you'll learn that the treasure is fake. Once there, you can just intimidate him into giving you your money back, but we suggest you attempt to pass the skill check that digs for more information.

If you succeed, you'll learn that Krizhan was once a scholar, but was forced to abandon his studies when his family could no longer afford it. He now uses these fake maps to raise some extra cash. Knowing this, it's up to you whether to still demand your money back or let him keep it – the only difference is that if you keep it, he promises to put all the money he earns into funding his studies.

Either way, he'll offer you his services to make up for the trouble he's causes, becoming an apprentice-level skill trainer in Craftsmanship, Scholarship, and Drinking.
