H&M launched its first designer collection in 2004 with Karl Lagerfeld, the then creative director of Chanel. The collaboration made work from high-end designers accessible.

The retailer said fashion lovers will have a second chance to access pieces from  previous collaborations through its pre-loved initiative. The items were sourced through partnerships with online pre-loved marketplace Sellpy and global vintage retailers.

The designers featured in the re-release project include Karl Lagerfeld (2004), Stella McCartney (2005), Roberto Cavalli (2007), Moschino (2018), Simone Rocha (2021), Mugler (spring 2023) and Rabanne (autumn 2023).

The first drop is set for 24 October in its Paris Lafayette store while London's Regent Street store will see the second drop on 25 October.

Commenting on the re-release, Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor at H&M said: "Our aim was to introduce the world of fashion to consumers globally, while showcasing our connection to strong, thoughtful and original design. It connects to the fundamental ethos of H&M: that quality and creativity should be available for everyone."
