Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have to evacuate their $29 million mansion as wildfires continue to ravage Southern California.

The Sussexes moved to Montecito, California back in 2020, but with fires blazing in the surrounding areas, the couple could soon have the power cut on their home.

As per The Telegraph, Southern California Edison (SCE) has stated it is considering a "Public Safety Power Shutoff" in parts of the Santa Barbara County due to the risk the fire poses.

The power company was contacting impacted customers in the area, which includes Harry, Meghan and their surrounding neighbors.

Harry and Meghan bought the property in 2020

The Sussexes bought the property in the summer of 2020 for $14.65 million, but according to Zillow, it has doubled in value and is now worth $29 million.

It features 16 bathrooms and nine bedrooms, with big names like Oprah Winfrey, and until recently, Ellen DeGeneres, living close by.

As of Wednesday morning, close to 70,000 SCE customers were without power. More than 35,000 of those customers were in Los Angeles County. Another 779 outages which would affect 42,000 more customers have also been scheduled.

Harry and Meghan's home is about 70 miles away from the nearest fire, which is blazing through the Malibu area.

Over 30,000 people, including plenty of celebrities, have been given evacuation orders, which has resulted in a traffic deadlock.
