Former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has revealed that after going on just one date with fellow X Factor alum Harry Styles, the singer "ignored" her messages and never responded
Harry Styles "ghosted" Jade Thirlwall.
While on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Jade admitted that Harry abruptly stopped talking to her after they went on a date. She said: "We went on one date when we were like 16 or something, he had just been put in a band and it was really funny because we kept in touch."
"And then the minute they went on live shows [X Factor] he didn’t message me back! I thought, 'That’s it now. He’s gone, he’s made it."
She later went on to compete on the talent show herself - the following year she found huge success with gal pals Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock as Little Mix.
While backstage at The X Factor, Jade ran into Harry once again as One Direction were due to perform on the show. Thirlwall put her pride behind her and decided to confront Harry about ghosting her texts.
She said: "I saw him in a room after and he was like: 'I'm really sorry that I ignored you," to which Theroux joked: "He ghosted you!"
Jade replied: "Yes. Again, I was so young it didn’t really matter. He was always very, very lovely."
Thirlwall then used the opportunity to shower Harry with pride as she recalled spending time with her fellow X Factor alum: "He’s gotten himself where he is because he’s very talented. He’s very lovely, very charming."
Jade, who is currently embarking on a glittering solo career after Little Mix split for good back in 2022, isn't the only member of the girl group that got cosy with someone from One Direction.
Perrie famously dated Zayn Malik for four years before the pair decided to call things off back in 2015.
