Heidi Klum 'wins' Halloween once again as she shows off 'out of this world' E.T. transformation

3 weeks ago 3

Heidi Klum has once again stole the show with her extravagant Halloween costume which transformed her into an iconic character from a famous 80s film.

Each year, fans of the 51-year-old model eagerly await the reveal of her latest Halloween creation, which in the past have included Fiona from Shrek, a realistic worm, a group of her 'clones', a majestic peacock, and many more.

This year, Heidi gave fans a sneak peek of her E.T. costume on Amazon Live. She broadcasted live on the website, allowing fans to watch the initial stages of her transformation by a team of professionals.

As she was being made up, tarot readers and friends joined the live stream to entertain both Heidi and the viewers. In the live video, Heidi could be seen sitting on a stool while makeup artists applied strips of brown, flesh-like cut outs across her face.

She also sported a blonde wig with wild bangs. Later, she took to Instagram to further tease her costume.

In the photo, she showed off bright red acrylic nails and held onto a fake giant toe, which was missing its nail. She captioned the post with a shifty eyes emoji and an upside down smile emoji before later revealing her E.T. costume, inspired by the alien character from the 1982 film.

Her husband Tom Kaulitz also dressed as E.T. for their annual Halloween party on Thursday, without the added wig and clothing accessories that Heidi added to hers to make herself a female version of the creature.

Fans have been buzzing on social media about this year's Halloween costume, with one enthusiast posting: "Queen of Halloween."

Another chimed in: "OMG U WON." A third admirer shared: "Best costume. What a queen."

Someone else remarked: "You are literally the best" while a fourth chimed in: "Out of this world."

The costume also received accolades such as "amazing," "iconic" and "incredible." It was noted by some that Janelle Monáe also donned an E. T. outfit this year.

Last Halloween, Heidi had professional performers join her as the tail feathers of her stunning peacock attire. Her husband, Tokio Hotel's Tom Kaulitz, complemented her look perfectly by dressing up as an egg, leaving everyone asking, "What else could he be? "

She opened up about the effort behind her costumes, saying through her impressive beak: "A lot of planning goes into it, you know. Because first, you have to have an idea."

In 2022, she took a grounded approach, morphing into a terrifying human-sized worm, with only her eyes and mouth visible, gazing intently at onlookers. "I just wanted to be something random," she explained when asked about her choice to become a worm.

Embracing her character, she lay on the floor, adding: "I don't think I've ever seen anyone being a rain worm before."

The German-American model has long been dubbed the Queen of Halloween, famously transforming into the Hindu goddess of death, Kali, back in 2008.

Heidi fully committed to her costumes, featuring multiple arms, hanging heads and a full body coat of blue paint.

She also transformed into a Transformer, an elderly version of herself (because what's scarier than contemplating your future self?) and a bizarre alien-human hybrid that was hard on the eyes.

Other outfits included Fiona from Shrek, Jessica Rabbit, Heidi and her clones - where she strutted her stuff on the red carpet with half a dozen doppelgangers, and a crow.
