Helen Flanagan has been brutally mum-shamed on social media after she dusted off her most glamorous outfit to enjoy a night on the town with her boyfriend Robbie Talbot and his daughter Sophie, 14. The planned night out saw the trio head to the launch of the Kyma Nightclub in Crosby, and served as a laid back event to help Helen get to know Robbie’s daughter a little better.
Documenting the outing on social media, Helen, who had clearly enjoyed the night out, shared an adorable photo on Instagram, which showed her posing alongside Robbie’s eldest daughter as they laughed and smiled for the camera.
Keeping things chic in a black velvet mini dress with diamanté detail, Helen teamed her outfit with a pair of sheer glossy tights, while Sophie opted for a vivid red mini dress. Yet while the duo were having the time of their lives, it didn’t stop critics from slamming Helen’s decision to head out on the town, as her own young children were nowhere to be seen.
“Where's the boyfriend? Hope the kids are being looked after,” wrote one troll, in a clear dig at the mum for daring to enjoy herself without her children.

hjgflanagan / Instagram)However, in clear show of solidarity for the former Coronation Street star, Helen’s fans jumped to her defence, and shot down any criticism as soon as it had arisen. One even sarcastically wrote back: “No she left them alone. Jesus mums not allowed a night out!”
A second also hit out at the troll, writing: “What the F is wrong with you? Its none of your business where her kids are!!!” While a third echoed the sentiment, adding: “Would you say the same thing to a father? Get a grip.”
A fourth supporter then commented: “Are you saying once a woman has children she can never leave the house???!!!”
Before a fifth, unimpressed user chastised the troll with: "Seriously??? Do you think women should be tied to the kitchen sink. Have you never gone out without your kids. Grow up."

Helen Flanagan/Instagram)Instead of letting one negative comment derail the sweet post, in a rally of support, many fans also began complimenting both Helen and Sophie, with a string of uplifting comments such as: “You both are Absolutely Stunning” and “Gorgeous night”.
Helen shares children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with her ex fiancé Scott Sinclair, while Robbie has Sophie and Carina, 10, from a previous relationship.
Unfortunately, her attempt to enjoy a simple night out isn’t the only time she has been mum-shamed, as she previously came under fire at the 2023 British Fashion Awards for sporting a sheer lacy black body as she walked the red carpet, something which several fans didn’t think was appropriate for the mum.

A second user also slammed her outfit adding: “Why do we have to be half naked now to get attention? What happened to being classy? Looks like she has a lingerie set on, forgot the time then put on a skirt in a hurry.”
Even despite the criticisms however, Helen has remained unfazed, instead making a definitive point of spending time with her children away from the spotlight. In fact, she previously reflected on her close bond with daughter Delilah, as she sweetly wrote: “She brings me so much happiness, very lucky to be her mama.”
