Helen Flanagan moves at ‘warp speed’ after ‘toxic split’… from PDAs to her ‘perfect pout’, 7 signs her new man’s The One

IT might seem that Helen Flanagan is moving fast with her new fella, but according to pros, it’s because he is ‘The One’. 

Recently, the blonde beauty, 34, told pals she is “smitten” with ex-footballer Robbie Talbot, who has even taken on step-dad duties to her three kids.

As a result, the Celebs Go Dating star has moved her new boyfriend into her family home in a Lancashire village, just eight months after getting together.

Not only this, but the construction firm boss, 44, is often seen at the school gates and playing in the park with her kids, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three – her kids by Bristol Rovers’ Scott Sinclair.

Robbie also has three kids from a previous relationship.

Last month, the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they were pictured getting cosy in the back of a taxi after leaving an afterparty together.

The ex-Coronation Street actress appeared smitten and the pair laughed and joked together after she shone in a plunging silk gown at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel for the Pride of Britain Awards.

A source said: “Helen’s so loved-up with Robbie. It’s amazing to finally see her so happy.

“They haven’t been dating for long, but they’re both so smitten they decided to live together. It just felt right.

“Robbie takes the kids to school and Charlie to nursery.”

But whilst Helen is clearly besotted and has moved Robbie in, it appears that she isn’t in ex Scott Sinclair’s good books. 

It was recently reported that despite sharing three children together, footballer Scott, 35, has blocked Helen. 

Speaking on The Mail's The Life of Bryony podcast, Helen said: "No disrespect to the father of my children, you know, I've had three children with him, and I always have a lot of love for him.

"We're both good people, but together we were very toxic. I think a toxic relationship can just damage your mental health a lot.

"Especially when you struggle with your mental health anyway.

"I mean, I'm on block at the moment on Scott's phone. I really am. I'm on block."

Is Robbie 'The One' for Helen?

But after her turbulent split with Scott and quick chemistry with Robbie, experts have spotted the seven signs that ‘unlucky in love’ Helen has found her match - from their large age gap to her favourite Instagram poses. 

Celebrity body language expert Judi James tells Fabulous: “Falling out of a long-term ‘toxic’ relationship into a new one that appears ideal can be a ‘fingers crossed’ moment for anyone.

“Helen is clearly sure that new man Robbie is ‘The One’ though and their relationship seems to be moving at warp speed. 

“With two sets of children and exes involved this is clearly a case of managing relationships rather than just focusing on their romantic compatibility as a couple, and if Robbie is Helen’s ‘The One’ is she also his?

 “It’s easy to seek out and even inflate idealised qualities in a new partner, especially after a painful split and according to Helen, Robbie sounds set for sainthood. 

 “Often this is a case of ‘Show, don’t tell’ though, with some strong and maybe more reliable clues about this relationship and whether Robbie really is ‘The One’ coming from Helen’s body language responses (and his) than her girl-in-a-crush words.”

As well as this, Brand and Culture expert Nick Ede explains to Fabulous: “Helen Flanagan has been unlucky in love and wears her heart on her sleeve. 

“As a young mother in the public eye, she has had her fair share of toxic relationships and her past exes haven’t treated her well and have made her unlucky in love. 

“We saw on Celebs Go Dating her confusion on being on the show but also having a boyfriend who in the end she took on the show. 

“She has admitted that she's not the best judge of character but now it does feel like she's found ‘The One’.”

‘Normal guy’ not fazed by fame 

According to Nick, Robbie is the perfect partner for Helen, because he isn’t bothered by fame.

Nick explains: “She knows that fame follows her everywhere but Robbie doesn’t seem fazed by this.”

Not only this, but Judi agrees: “He’s described as a ‘normal’ guy, even-tempered, calm and mature, which must tick all Helen’s relationship-needs boxes right now.”

10 year age gap 

Not only this, but according to Nick, the ten year age gap is also a recipe for success for the pair.

Nick adds: “He's a self-made businessman and older, which is making Helen feel much more stable.

“I think that there is such undeniable chemistry and now she has the whole of the UK watching out for her, willing her to have lasting happiness. 

“They will be together for the foreseeable future. She's looking happier, more body confident and radiates love which is all we ever want for someone.” 

PDA posing 

According to Judi, when it comes to Helen’s Insta snaps, the excessive PDA posts signal that Robbie is ‘The One’ for Helen.

In a recent snap, the couple were seen cuddling up whilst on a trip to Dublin, as Judi shares: “This pose seems to define everything Helen is seeking and getting from her relationship with Robbie. 

“She’s snuggled into his lap here like a child, using self-diminished signals that suggest she is seeking security and comfort from this older man.

“She has pressed her head against his in a gesture of displayed trust and she clearly seems to see Robbie as a source of strength, reliability and protection.

“In their restaurant pic she clings to his chest, which again re-enforces this idea of him providing strength and solidity in her life.

“His body language responses here suggest some emotional compatibility. Instead of grabbing or holding Helen, Robbie adopts a ‘gentleman’s hand’ ritual where his hands are either linked around her waist but not touching her, or his arm and his hand hang over the back of her seat, again not making contact.

“This could suggest the mature, careful, delayed gratification or empathetic approach Helen seems to be needing to ensure the relationship builds at the right rate.”

Perfect pout 

Not only this, but Helen’s pout posing also signals her confidence in her new relationship. 

Judi says: “Helen’s pout poses suggest she’s happy and confident to promote her day job with the full support of Robbie. 

“But this is an emotional reveal as well as a flirty look. 

“Pouting the lips can have an infantile purpose as it’s how children sulk or show neediness and it mimics the gesture of breast feeding and seeking comfort, meaning it can also be a subliminal signal of vulnerability from Helen.”

Eyes wide shut 

In addition to a pout, Helen is often seen posing with her eyes closed, which according to Judi, signals the trust between her and Robbie.

Judi explains: “Helen’s most iconic and recognisable feature is her eyes and her recent trait of closing them or looking down in a cut-off ritual does suggest that, although she’s being very public with this new relationship, even taking Robbie onto a dating show with her, there are still some areas of privacy between them, which will be vital to build long-term trust and to avoid a ‘show pony’ relationship. 

“The gesture is also associated with savouring pleasure, making Helen look even more happy about her new love.”

Stare, don’t care

As well as this, Judi recognises that Helen’s stares reflect her confidence in her new relationship.

She continues: “But Helen is also showing signs of building inner confidence thanks to Robbie, allowing her to take on the rest of the world with a level stare in some of her poses. 

“The gesture suggests she no longer feels a need to be a universal ‘pleaser’ seeking approval generally. 

“This would suggest she feels Robbie is her shield against the world and all the trolls that inhabit it.”

Beaming and preening

But amongst pouts and stares, Helen is also a gnasher-shower too, which demonstrates her ‘inner smug’ as a result of her new beau.

“Helen’s ‘cat got the cream’ beaming is a typical ritual from someone who feels they have fallen in love with the ‘right’ person. 

“Helen takes few steps to hide her inner smug in some of her poses and her rather private-looking smile signals ‘I’ve got a secret’, which is indicative of internalised good news”, concludes Judi.
