Hoda Kotb reunited with her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman, to co-parent for the holidays.

On Christmas Day (Wednesday, December 25), Kotb, 60, shared photos to her Instagram of her rocking matching pajamas with Schiffman, 66, and their two daughters, Haley, 7, and Hope, 5. Kotb's other relatives, including her mother, were also there.

They posed in the living room, all wearing reindeer shirts and plaid pants. The children had also just opened presents, as some unwrapped gifts were in the picture.

Later on Christmas Day, Kotb and Schiffman, still wearing pajamas, had a meal with their children and watched the football game. "Raise your hand if you are still in your christmas jammies and watching football🎄💚❤️," Kotb captioned the post.

"5:55 pm dinner time—/still in christmas jammies!!" she added in a separate update, hinting that Schiffman cooked.

Fans in Kotb's comments praised her and Schiffman for showcasing a sweet reunion for their children, even if their relationship didn't work out. "I love you showing a 'non-traditional' family can look traditional!" one user wrote on Kotb's post. "Here's to co-parenting in the modern world! Kudos to you and Joel for loving your girls and making it work!"

After dating for six years, Kotb and Schiffman got engaged in November 2019. The two met in 2013 after Kotb emailed Schiffman, leading him to ask her out. However, they would ultimately split up in January 2022 — when Kotb revealed the news on the Today show. Despite this, she still has positive things to say about her ex.

"Joel is one of the best people I know, and he really is a great human being," Kotb also shared about the downfall of their engagement in an August 2024 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show. "And I feel like I'm a pretty great human being, but sometimes two great human beings together isn't quite enough to make it work."
