The emotions were palpable on Michael McIntyre's Big Show as everyone's beloved TV star, Holly Willoughby, was brought to tears during an emotional segment.

McIntyre orchestrated a trip down memory lane with his game 'Remember Me?', testing celebrities' ability to recognise someone from their past, closely following another reminiscent chat by Holly.

Holly, who presents Celebrity Bear Hunt at age 44, effortlessly identified the surprise guest as a crucial figure from what she termed the "most scary" but incredibly special moment in her life.

Holly guessed right about their past encounter when prompted by Michael, revealing: "I'm thinking that we might have met each other 13 years ago, and the reason why I'm saying 13 years ago is because that was the day my daughter Belle was born.", reports the Daily Star.

The Dancing on Ice star couldn't hold back her tears as she realized the importance of the moment. She made eye contact with her honoured guest as the audience clapped in support.

She expressed her gratitude, saying: "And this amazing, incredible woman is called Fredette. And Fredette is a midwife. And Fredette was so amazing because Belle was five weeks premature so she was so tiny, and I was so scared and worried and... I just remember, Fredette, I just remember you saying, 'We are going to breathe this baby out. We are going to breathe this baby out.'"

"And I just listened to you, and it was just your voice then when you just said 'Do you remember me?' It was your voice. And I'll never forget your voice," reports the Mirror.

Michael then turned his attention to Fredette, who had helped deliver Holly's second child - the star also has a younger and an older son with her husband of 17 years, Dan Baldwin. 'So do you remember Hol?' he asked the life-changing midwife.

"Yes, I do! " she confirmed, smiling at Holly. "What do you remember about that? It was quite tense," the host questioned, with Fredette summarising: "It was. But she was smashing."

Holly joined in again, trying to express Fredette's importance to her.

After reflecting on her painful concerns for her premature baby, she pointed into the audience and told her midwife: "And my daughter is actually up there. An amazing, beautiful girl, and you were the person who brought her into the world. So thank you, thank you so much."

Holly's voice shook as she expressed her heartfelt thanks to Fredette, her eyes filling with tears. Michael invited her to come down to the stage, and the celebrity quickly vanished behind the curtains of her private box to meet the miracle-working midwife.

After a quick dash backstage, Holly Willoughby reappeared on stage with Michael and Fredette, pulling the latter into a long hug.

Although the show's microphones didn't pick it up, sharp viewers noticed Holly whispering, "Thank you for coming and doing this; it's really special," to Fredette as she once again struggled to hold back her tears.
