Production has “slowed” on Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s upcoming crime thriller, “RIP,” a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“With Ben’s divorce and everything going on in his personal life, production on the film has slowed and there’s no release date at the moment.”
“They’re still working on the project, but there’s not a firm deadline with any of it,” the insider says of the film.
“Ben and Matt are working on a few different projects, but their main focus has been on the Netflix crime thriller,” the source explains.
“Things just haven’t been progressing as quickly as they initially planned.”
Teyana Taylor and Sasha Calle are set to star in the film together and they’ll team up with writer-director Joe Carnahan.
Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony, which they held after eloping in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022.
Affleck was previously married to actress Jennifer Garner for 10 years, from 2005 until 2015. They co-parent their three children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
Our source tells Page Six, “Ben has been leaning heavily on Matt during these past several months following his separation from [Lopez].”
“Matt has always been an amazing friend to Ben and he’s really being there for him right now.”
