The American rapper, Kendrick Lamar, besides enjoying music, also enjoys his family life, although he has been reserved in this aspect, he is proud to be a father with his fiancee Whitney Alford.
The 37-year-old artist has been engaged to Whitney Alford since 2015, although they have known each other since they were teenagers. The couple keeps a low profile about their personal life.

The album that revealed more about his family life
This is Uzi, a five-year-old girl who was born in July 2019. Her birth was revealed by the media, as the "Not Like Us" singer kept the information private. However, it was through the song "Mr. Morale" in 2022 that the star mentions his firstborn.
"Uzi, your father is in deep meditation," the song's lyrics state.
The same thing happened with the birth of their second child, whom they named Enoch, whose existence was also revealed through the song and the cover of their album "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers", in 2022, where he showed a family photo in which the couple is seen with their two children. Lamar appears holding Uzi, while Alford has Enoch in her arms.
And that through "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Lamar not only shared his music, but also allowed his followers a glimpse into his family and personal life.
At the 2023 Grammys, Lamar won several awards for the album, including Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album, and during his speech he thanked his family for inspiring him to be vulnerable and honest in his work.
After the victory, Whitney Alford shared on social media a video in which her daughter Uzi expresses her joy and surprise at hearing that Lamar had spoken about his family in his speech: "Daddy! He's talking about us. He's talking about his family... Uzi, Enoch and mommy."
Fatherhood for Kendrick Lamar
In an interview with W Magazine, the rapper explained how his children have helped him to "take the ego out" and develop a deeper insight into love and parenthood.
The artist from Compton, California, reflected on how watching his children grow up has taught him to understand unconditional love, and how this experience has shaped his view of the world and life.
"My children have allowed me, in their development as human beings who are beginning to walk and talk, to take away my ego," Lamar said. "And when I think about it, I try to apply that in my career and in how I get to know other people. Am I allowing them to be themselves without judging them? My children have taught me that," the 37-year-old performer explained.
Although the Californian rapper's life has been marked by his success in the music world, it is also marked by his love and dedication to his family.
Through his fatherhood, Lamar has found a source of inspiration for his music and personal growth.
