How Nikki Garcia Signaled She’s Ready for a Fresh Start After Settling Artem Chigvintsev Divorce

Nikki Garcia is ready to put 2024 behind her. Now that the 41-year-old former WWE star has finalized her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev, she’s showing signs of starting a fresh chapter. The first hint was her Instagram page which suddenly went through a dramatic transformation.

Fans noted that Garcia had wiped her account clean sometime during Thanksgiving week. Anyone who visits her page is greeted with the “No Posts Yet” text. There’s only a small shot of her drinking wine in her profile and her bio details, but otherwise, her social media is a blank slate. Garcia is looking forward to the future.

Garcia and the former Dancing With the Stars pro settled their divorce through mediation on Nov. 20. TMZ revealed that the estranged duo went through mediation “because they both want to move on, in part because it was getting very expensive to pay lawyers … plus the whole process was becoming emotionally draining.”

A representative for Garcia also spoke to Page Six after the settlement was announced and shared that her focus would be on raising their son, Matteo, 4. “Nikki and Artem have settled their divorce and will not be going to court. Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively co-parent their son.”

The TMZ source added that Garcia and Chigvintsev’s “relationship is very much a work in progress,” but they are “cooperating with one another” to make the transition as peaceful as possible for their child. It’s been a tumultuous three months after the 42-year-old dancer’s arrest for domestic violence on Aug. 29. The Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley declined to press charges against him, but the damage was done in their marriage.

Garcia has yet to return to her podcast, The Nikki & Brie Show, that she co-hosts with her sister, Brie, but we have a feeling that the new year will bring her back to the studio and back to posting on her socials Hopefully, the holidays will bring her some joy as she sets forth on a new journey and a fresh Instagram page.
