Fans of the addictive reality TV show Traitors are now able to apply to take part in the next series, which is set to be filmed later this year.
The BBC show became extremely popular when it debuted in 2022, with fans gripping their seats to see what the next big betrayal would be. The third series concludes tonight (Friday, January 24), and fans will see who gets to follow in the footsteps of previous winners Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams, and most recent winner Harry Clark.
For those thinking they could be up for the challenge of being a Traitor, applications for the next series are open through the BBC's website. This is due to close on February 9, however it has warned that the closing date could be extended or reduced without notice, reports the Mirror.
Potential applicants will need to provide personal details about themselves on the application form, which is available on the BBC website. Possible contestants will also be asked to select whether, if given the choice, they would rather be a Traitor or a Faithful.
However, applicants need to meet three eligibility requirements before they can begin applying. You need to be at least 18-years-old at the time of applying, have the right to legally reside in the UK and also be available to take part in the show for up to four weeks.
At the moment, it is stated on the application form that the show is anticipated to be underway later this year in "spring/summer", but this could change without notice. The form states: "You must be available to take part in the programme for up to 4 weeks currently anticipated to be in Spring/Summer 2025. Please note that this may change at our discretion without notice."
The current third series of the reality show will end tonight (Friday) with its finale, in which viewers will watch the remaining contestants battle for a chance to win the prize. As it stands, there is only one Traitor left in the game - Charlotte Berman.
At the beginning of the series, host Claudia Winkleman introduced over 20 players to the game, but now only five remain. Going against Charlotte are the last four remaining Faithfuls - Alexander Dragonetti, Francesca Rowan-Plowden, Jake Brown and Leanne Quigley.
It has already been announced that there will be a twist in the final, making this year's last episode look different from the previous seasons. The current prize fund ahead of the final stands at £73,000. However, there is a chance that the finalists may be able to increase this sum in their final mission.
The latest series of the Traitors concludes tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 8.30pm. It will be followed by companion show Uncloaked at 9.40pm.
