How to join the Remix Prelude live event

Fortnite Remix playlist in DiscoverDigital Trends

Remix: The Prelude will have a new playlist of the same name, which means it will be a different game mode than your typical Creative/UEFN maps. As per Epic, the event will take place on the Battle Royale island, so brace yourselves as it goes live.

To join the event, all you need to do is scroll down in the Discover Row under the By Epic column and you’ll be able to spot the playlist icon there.

We advise you to load into the playlist at least 30 minutes prior to the event to avoid long queue times and connection errors, both of which are quite common in an event of such scale.

What will happen during the live event?

The Remix Prelude live event has a concert theme that is rumored to bring in Marshmello to kick-start a party that will rift players onto the Chapter 2 Remix island. As of now, you’ll be able to spot a Rift Beacon active at the Restored Reels point of interest (POI )that WILL SHOOT a beam at the screen and open a portal through the Chapter 2 graffiti.

However, more rumors suggest that rather than players traveling to the island, POIs and more gameplay elements from Chapter 2 seasons could arrive on the Chapter 5 map.

All of this will unfold as players get closer to the Chapter 5 ending live event that will kick things off in a remixed way for OG players who loved all the seasons of Chapter 2.

Someone remade Deadpool & Wolverine in Fortnite, and it’s awesome

Deadpool battles in a forest in Fortnite.

It's safe to say that a lot of people have watched Deadpool & Wolverine by now. The MCU movie, which pairs The Merc with a Mouth with the X-Man Wolverine in a wacky multiverse adventure, has grossed over $900 million as of August 8, and will easily pass the $1 billion mark after this weekend.

It's hard for a movie these days to make that much money, which is a testament to just how much people like this film. Aside from the much-publicized popcorn buckets that are already scarce collectibles and viral Tweets and video clips about its many surprise cameos, Deadpool & Wolverine's impressive popularity has already crossed over into the world of gaming.

How to use an external hard drive on PS5

Two versions of the PS5 side by side.

The PlayStation 5 is a remarkable system, but it doesn't come with much storage space. Breaking from the 1TB the Xbox Series X offers, the PS5 only offers 825GB. Worse, after accounting for the storage space the PS5 takes up by default, users are left with just over 650GB of space.

You could install a new SSD in your PlayStation 5, selecting from the best SSDs available, but using external storage to expand your space is simpler. In this guide, we're going to show you how to use an external hard drive on PS5.
