These Metropolitan Division rivals find themselves in very different situations. The Capitals lead the division with 80 points, the second-highest total in the entire NHL behind only the Winnipeg Jets. Pittsburgh is second to last in the division with 55 points. Tune in on Saturday to ABC to watch the NHL action.
Washington is coming off a 5-4 loss to the Utah Hockey Club as they look to bounce back after the 4 Nations Face-Off break. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is also coming off a loss, after dropping a 3-2 game to the Flyers. Erik Karlsson and Anthony Beaivillier scored in the loss, but it wasn't enough as the Penguins never led and have now lost two of their last three games.
These teams played in January, with the Capitals dominating in a 4-1 victory. Washington's goals came from Jakob Chychrun, Aliaksei Protas, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Brandon Duhaime while Pittsburgh's lone goal came off the stick of Bryan Rust.
