Before the win over the Sun Devils, Houston's resume got a major boost on Saturday as the team took down a Top 25 Arizona team 62-58 in Tuscon. Milos Uzan led the team with 19 points in the win while LJ Cryer added 15 points.
Iowa State last faced Colorado. The team hasn't faced a ranked opponent since Feb. 3, when the team lost 69-52 to Kansas. Three players tied for the Cyclone scoring lead in that one with 11 points each: Keshon Gilbert, Tamin Lipsey, and Joshua Jefferson.
This is the only scheduled matchup between these teams. They last played last March in the Big 12 tournament, with the Cyclones winning 69-41. Iowa State has won two of the three meetings of these sides since Houston joined the Big 12.
