Miami is led by one of the top Heisman contenders, quarterback Cameron Ward. Ward's 34 touchdown passes lead the country. He's thrown for 3,774 yards while completing 67.2% of his attempts.
Last week. Ward led the Hurricanes to a 42-14 win over Wake Forest. Ward was 27-for-3 for 280 yards and two touchdowns and also found the end zone on the ground, as did running back Jordan Lyle. Mishael Powell had a 76-yard pick six for Miami.
Syracuse is 2-1 against ranked teams this year, though one of those wins was over a Georgia Tech team that is no longer ranked.
Last week, the Orange defeated UConn 31-24, with quarterback Kyle McCord going off for 470 passing yards and two touchdown passes in the win. McCord had a rushing score as well. The former Ohio State passer has done a strong job this season for Syracuse.
