How to Watch the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations

The 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards are one step closer to taking place.

The annual awards ceremony will unveil its 2025 nominees on Wednesday, January 8, with Joey King and “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” breakout star Cooper Koch announcing the nominations.

The announcement will kick off with the nominations for Outstanding Action Performances in a Stunt Ensemble by SAG Awards Committee members Jason George and Elizabeth McLaughlin, marking the first major awards ceremony to recognize stunt work. 

Following the presentation, SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher will continue the live event with the full nominations.

The 2025 SAG nominations will be streamed exclusively on Netflix’s YouTube channel, beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET / 7:30 a.m. PT.

The actual SAG Awards will stream live globally on Netflix Sunday, February 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall. Kristen Bell will host the annual ceremony, which will include Jane Fonda being presented with SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor, the Life Achievement Award. “Nobody Wants This” actress and producer Bell formerly made history as the first ever SAG Awards host in 2018.

“Kristen Bell’s wit, warmth and charm makes her the perfect fit for our show — a night celebrating actors and the outstanding performances of the year,“ SAG Awards Executive Producer Jon Brockett said in a press statement. ”Plus — everybody wants this.”

The SAG Awards began partnering with Netflix in 2023. The 2024 ceremony proved to be a streaming hit on the platform.

“The SAG Awards are beloved by the creative community and viewers alike, and now even more fans around the world will be able to celebrate these talented actors,” Netflix’s head of global TV Bela Bajaria said at the time. “As we begin to explore live streaming on Netflix, we look forward to partnering with SAG-AFTRA to elevate and expand this special ceremony as a global live event in 2024 and the years to come.”

The SAG Awards previously aired on Turner network channels TNT and TBS for 25 years before moving to Netflix.

The SAG Awards annually celebrates the outstanding motion picture and television performances of the year. Voted on by SAG-AFTRA’s robust and diverse membership of more than 122,000 performers, the SAG Awards has the largest voting body on the awards circuit. The ceremony began in 1995.
