Miley Cyrus' mother Tish Cyrus has discussed her split and divorce from ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus.
Tish, 57, who is now married to Australian actor Dominic Purcell, appeared on the Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson podcast when the topic of her marriage breakdown to the Achy Breaky Heart singer came up.
Tish admitted she "never wanted to be divorced" but said she eventually "didn't have a choice".

She said that growing up, her parents gave her the "best example" of marriage.
"[But] for us, you're in the public eye and the world that we exist in is already so odd and at some times unstable," she said on the podcast.
"I wanted to make it work, probably for a little too long, like, for my own mental health. There became a point that, like, I didn't have a choice."

The pair had a rocky romance over the years - the singer filed for divorce in 2010 from Tish - but they dropped it.
In June 2013, Tish filed for divorce but they called it off.
She recently said on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she endured the breakup and losing her mother at the same time.
Tish said the stress of it was so impactful, she went through a "complete psychological breakdown" and even asked a psychiatrist to "put her in a mental hospital".
"It was so crazy because, honestly, my two biggest fears in life were always being alone and my mum passing away," Tish said.
Tish is now married to Dominic Purcell, with the intimate wedding taking place in August last year at a mansion in Malibu, California.
It marks Tish's third marriage; she was married to Baxter Neal Helson from 1986-1989, and Cyrus from 1993.
