The Only Love Can Hurt Like This songstress said the couple's issues began when they started going through IVF treatment after struggling to conceive naturally.

The couple welcomed their first child in 2016 and their second in 2021. They reportedly tied the knot in 2017.

When she brought it up with her partner, she explains she said to him, "I really want another baby, I'm not working as much. I've got more time to relax. Can I do it?"

"He said, 'I don't think we'll make it as a couple,'" she recalled.

"I felt resentment, I just felt alone."

The singer said she was approaching perimenopause at the time and felt she needed to give her child a sibling.

In February, she released her latest album The Glorification of Sadness, which features a track named Divorce.
