I'm A Celebrity host Ant McPartlin was "too scared" to take on a TV opportunity, according to his ITV co-star.
Most Haunted legend Yvette Fielding entered the ITV jungle back in 2015 and said she once offered both Ant and Dec [Donnelly] a chance to go on her spooky show. However, Ant was quick to turn it down after being "too scared".
Yvette exclusively told us: "I've asked them but I asked them years ago. Declan was really up for it, but Ant was like 'Oh, no, I think he was a bit scared of it. I can't really remember, but I love taking celebrities that are a little bit sceptical, sullied and cynical, on a ghost hunt and watching the whole character change because what they're seeing, they're like, 'What the hell's going on?'
"I've done so many of them, but every group that I've ever worked someone always goes 'Oh, there's somebody obviously banging on the door next door'. I said, 'Well, go on, then go and have a look'. And they go and have a look, and there's nothing there."
The star also revealed that stumbled across a "negative entity" in the ITV jungle – sort of. She claimed: "I only detected one negative entity in the jungle whilst I was there, and it would have been nice if that negative entity had left and they got her out," she laughed as she made a nod to her feud with her co-star Lacy C.
Yvette had teamed up with Ring who's research reveals that 40% of Brits believe in paranormal activity and two-thirds (68%) that witnessed paranormal activity have experienced it more than twice, with 62% of incidents occurring in the home.
Some videos showed orbs in the clips and others had mysterious voices in the background. Commenting on this, she said: “The light anomalies caught on the Ring device are interesting. The fact that there is only one on its own in each video makes this footage fascinating as it could be the first stage of a ghost manifestation and worthy of further investigation.
“It can be quite daunting hearing an unexpected voice at your door, even more so when there's nobody there. Hearing disembodied voices is a sign of a potential haunting within or around the home, so there could very well be something paranormal occurring here.”
