I'm A Celeb star Alan Halsall's bitter split from Corrie star he branded a 'lying cheater'

Alan Halsall - who is best known for his role in Coronation Street as Tyrone Dobbs - has admitted he and his ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson struggled with communication, also dubbing her a "cheat" in scathing post

Actor Alan Halsall has been very open on social media about the downfall of his marriage with Lucy-Jo Hudson, even publicly shaming her on Instagram following the birth of their daughter. Alan, who is set to appear on this year's I'm A Celeb, is single following a series of rocky relationships.

The Corrie star married Lucy-Jo Hudson in 2009 after they met on the set of the soap in 2002 and began dating in 2004. But they later broke up and have had a bitter relationship as exes in the years since.

Ex-wife Lucy-Jo is said to be preparing to nominate him for the most vicious trials in the jungle as they remain on bad terms years later. It has been reported that the former couple can no longer talk - despite being coparents to their daughter.

Just days after Lucy-Jo welcomed her baby boy in 2020 with her partner Lewis Devine, Alan wrote on Instagram, before deleting: "You’re welcome to keep the lying cheating one and call her your own! But not my daughter."

Lucy, who was married to Alan for nine years until they separated in 2018, also spoke out about the actor's statement in a separate interview. She told OK! Magazine: "I had literally just given birth to Carter when he posted that so I didn’t see it and my head was elsewhere. He quickly deleted it so he must have regretted it. I didn’t bother bringing it up with him."

Alan and Lucy-Jo welcomed their daughter, Sienna-Rae, in 2013. The happy couple shocked fans when they initially split in March 2016 - but they soon reconciled and had another roll of the dice on their romance. But it still didn't work the second time round, and they ultimately split for good in 2018.

Lucy-Jo went public with her relationship with theatre company owner Lewis just weeks after her split with Alan - and the Corrie actor did not react well to the news. His Instagram statement appeared when Lewis made reference to Sienna-Rae being part of his family.

Alan lashed out again over the comments, writing that he had "no regrets" in a social media post. Alan did find love again following his divorce from Lucy-Jo as he fell for Corrie co-star Tisha Merry - but this love proved to be short lived as they split earlier this year.

Lucy also revealed that co-parenting with Alan has been a challenge. She told OK!: "The thing is, everybody who has a blended family knows it’s not easy. You can’t pretend that it is. And me and Alan sometimes have different views on raising Sienna so trying to co-parent can be challenging. It’s probably like that for a lot of blended families."

It has been confirmed that Alan is one of the 2024 stars of I'm A Celeb and he has already touched down in Australia to take part in the show.
