When he's on the court, there is something running through Alex de Minaur's mind – his future wedding budget.
The Aussie tennis star, who yesterday defeated Alex Michelsen in a fourth-round match advancing him to a spot in the quarter final, made a cheeky quip about his upcoming wedding with his British tennis star fiancée Katie Boulter.
The moment came during a post-match interview with former tennis player Laura Robson for Eurosport who joked that de Minaur needs to focus on "more wins" meaning "more money" and subsequently "more wedding budget".

"Exactly," de Minaur agreed before making a tongue-in-cheek comment about his wedding budget being his main focus while he's out on court.
"You know, that's honestly, when I'm out there on court and you see me so stressed out, I'm just thinking of the wedding budget," he said.
"And that's why I'm like 'I need to win more money, I need to win more matches'. That's all that goes through my head.
"So now you know what's going on inside my head."
The tennis power couple have taken to the courts in Melbourne Park for the Australian Open 2025.

"2024 was a special year and it ended in the best possible way, I'm very happy that happened," the 25-year-old told Nine's John Millman of their engagement.
