After spending the months in the lead-up to Christmas overhauling her fitness regime entirely, svelte Amy Childs is showcasing an impressive new physique. She puts this down to daily sessions in the gym with cousin Harry Derbidge and regular periods of fasting, as well – of course – as running after her four kids (Amy has twins Billy and Amelia, daughter Polly, seven, and son Ritchie, six).
The OG TOWIE star, 34, is hoping to marry her fiancé Billy Delbosq – a business owner from Essex who previously appeared on First Dates – later this year and has wedding plans at the forefront of her mind. Here, she tells OK! how she has finally carved out more time for her health, now her adorable twins are almost two – and why she’s feeling the best she ever has…

amychilds/instagram)Amy, you’re looking great at the moment! The twins are two in April so does that mean you finally have some time to focus on yourself?
The twins are walking now, so I am up and down, up and down. In my house the other day, I did 18,000 steps – in my house! The minimum I do in a day is about 10,000. When I had the twins, I couldn’t do anything. I was trying to get them into a routine, and I was here, there and everywhere, and I was filming. Now they are 20 months, they nap, so I think: “Right, Ame, you can go to the gym for 45 minutes while they’re sleeping.” The twins generally nap for an hour and a half, so in that time I get on the treadmill, I do a few weights. I am really on it with my fitness.
What’s changed then, in terms of a gym routine and diet?
I am training every day, for a start. Every single day. I’m eating a bit healthier, and fasting, too. When you have four children, sometimes you don’t get a chance to eat anyway! In the morning I am so full-on with the kids and getting Ritchie ready – he’s at a different school to Polly – that it gets to about half 11 and I think: “I have not eaten this morning…” So yes, I am fasting and I am training.
It must be great after a long time focusing on the kids to be able to focus on yourself again…
Honestly, I feel so good in myself. I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time. I’ve got a gym in the garden, you know. A little outhouse – and I’m in there every day. I’m really proud of myself.
As well as fasting, is there anything else you are eating or not eating? Are you still loving a prosecco?
I am eating healthily, but I am having a little prosecco here and there. I can’t sit here and say I don’t like having a drink. I mean, I don’t drink much – but at the weekends, I still drink prosecco. At Christmas there were loads of parties, so I was going out with the girls a few nights. But I train every day and I work hard, so I reckon I deserve a few nights out!
Your cousin Harry, who’s had a tricky time since splitting from Joe (Blackman) has been training too, hasn’t he?
Yes, Harry trains every day so I try and go to a PT session with him. Me and Harry… We do everything together. Because he was getting really fit, I thought: “Do you know what? I am going to get really fit!” We are like the fit family now. We should get a new TV show, The Fit Family. We are really on it, both of us. He looks unbelievable and his wellbeing is great. He looks amazing and he is also the loveliest and kindest guy.

ITV)What about Harry, he seems to be doing really well. How is he?
Oh, Harry is doing amazing. My main concern is Harry. I’m with him near enough every day, if I’m not on the phone to him. No one could believe what they were watching… with everything that happened. He genuinely felt Junaid was one of his best friends. I’d go to Harry’s house, and he was making him dinner. When we heard about them (Joe and Junaid) getting together… It was absolute madness. But Harry has shown to everyone he is happier – look at the person he is now. Harry is such a lovely person and he has a lot of friends. I don’t think he was in love. They’ve done him a massive favour.
