Cillian Murphy was among a bevy of Irish stars to step out at the premier of Small Things Like These at the Lighthouse Cinema, Dublin.

The Oscar winner delivers a stunning performance as devoted father Bill Furlong in this film based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Claire Keegan.

While working as a coal merchant to support his family, he discovers disturbing secrets kept by the local convent— and uncovers truths of his own — forcing him to confront his past and the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church.

The film stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Watson and Eileen Walsh, and opens in cinemas nationwide this Friday 1 Nov.

At the premier, Cillian's look had a nod to autumn with the rich colour of his shirt as he posed for photos.

Other stars who attended the premier included The Edge and Irish influencer Terri McEvoy, who also got the memo about autumnal dressing in a lovely burgundy coat.

Cillian recently shared that he hopes to take a rest on 2025. "I mostly want to have a rest next year," he told the Brendan O’Connor programme on RTÉ Radio 1.

Speaking about his Oscar win, he added: "I just went straight back to work. That was my way of dealing with it. ‘It was an amazing dream-like thing to happen. I still haven’t fully figured it out."
