Taylor Swift may be gearing up to release a new album and embark on a brand new tour sooner than we think. That’s right, after her record-breaking Eras Tour wraps, the Grammy winner may be hitting the road in 2026!

Is Taylor Swift Dropping a New Album?

In December 2024, an Us Weekly source reported that the pop star is finishing up a new album.

The outlet reported that Taylor “wants to start the New Year on a low-key, restful note,” but “then she’ll get to work on a new album.”

The “Bejeweled” singer’s last album was The Tortured Poets Department, released on April 19, 2024. Taylor announced the news of her 11th album while accepting a Grammy for best pop vocal album at the 2024 award show, revealing that she has been working on the album for the past “two years.”

“Okay, this is my 13th Grammy, which is my lucky number. I don’t know if I’ve ever told you that,” she said in her speech. “I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand-new album comes out April 19th. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department. I’m going to go and post the cover right now backstage. Thank you, I love you! Thank you!”

Is Taylor Swift Going on Tour in 2026?

The Us Weekly source also said that the Grammy-winning songstress is “considering going on a new tour— albeit on a smaller scale than the Eras Tour—in 2026.”

The insider said Taylor “had such a great experience on Eras. She really wants to do it again. She loves being with all her fans; it inspires her.”

However, nothing has been confirmed yet. “Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis [Kelce],” the source added. “She’s told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”
