Australian actress Nicole Kidman has candidly reflected on life and her emotions in an in-depth interview with GQ Magazine.
As she covers the publication's 2024 Men of the Year issue, the Hollywood star, 57, has admitted that she sometimes "wakes up at 3am crying and gasping" as she comes to grips about mortality and life being "definitely a journey".
"Mortality. Connection. Life coming and hitting you. And loss of parents and raising children and marriage and all of the things that go into making you a fully sentient human," she said about feeling her emotions.

"And it hits you as you get older how... it's a wake up at 3am crying and gasping kind of thing."
The Big Little Lies star said she's embracing all her emotions as she's getting older and added that mortality comes into parenting, saying: "You're like, I gotta stay here".
During the wide-ranging interview, she also commented on those viral old meme pictures floating around of her online, with many fans speculating she was cheering in the street following her divorce from ex-husband Tom Cruise.

But Kidman said it's not the case, and rather she was on set of a film when the images were taken.
Kidman has had a tough couple of months following the death of her beloved mother, Janelle Ann Kidman.
Nicole and her sister Antonia issued a statement following the death of their mother, thanking fans and family for their support throughout the difficult time.

She posted on September 13: "My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week."
"Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express.

When the A-lister announced the death of her mother, she rushed to leave the 81st Venice Film Festival early to be with her family in Australia.
In a touching letter that was read out on her behalf at the event, Kidman said she was "in shock" and said her late mother "shaped me, guided me and made me".
