Emmerdale fans are convinced that April Windsor has already returned to the village and was right by her dad Marlon Dingle in a blink and you miss it moment

Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced that April Windsor has already made her return to the Dales. The young character, played by Amelia Flanagan, has been absent since Christmas Day, last seen entering a car driven by an unknown individual.

April's vanishing act followed a challenging period in the Dales, where she was kidnapped by the dangerous Jade (Twinnie-Lee Moore), and discovered the truth about her mother Donna's (Verity Rushworth) death in 2014. This led April to turn to alcohol and drugs, leading to conflicts with her father Marlon (Mark Charnock), before she disappeared.

Since then, a distraught Marlon, along with the rest of the village, has been desperate to locate April. In this week's episodes, a CCTV video showing a potential sighting of April running across a street in Leeds was shown to her family.

In Tuesday's episode (January 14), Marlon went to Leeds to distribute leaflets about April. He later spotted a girl who resembled April on the streets and chased after her.

However, it wasn't April - instead, he unexpectedly bumped into Ross Barton (Michael Parr). Despite their differences, the pair decided to join forces to search for April, reports Leeds Live.

Before they left, they put up more flyers, and as the camera zoomed out, it revealed a wall covered in flyers, appealing for information on several missing individuals. However, in what could be a major plot twist, viewers are certain that April has already returned and was right near her dad.

One eagle-eyed fan pointed out a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in a scene where Marlon and Ross were putting up a poster: "That camera shot where Marlon and Ross stood putting the poster up. Anyone else think April was the other side of it," they mused on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page.

Someone else echoed the suspicion, adamant that April wasn't far away, posting: "I think it was her that walked past." Another fan weighed in with: "I thought that too."

Not stopping there, yet another viewer added to the chorus by announcing: "I thought the very same thing!" In agreement, someone else remarked: "Saw someone running past very quickly, wonder if it was April!"
