ITV Emmerdale fans suspect April Windsor baby twist as they 'work out' who dad is

Emmerdale enthusiasts suspect a grim plot twist as April Windsor, portrayed by Amelia Flanagan, remains absent with her whereabouts unknown.

On Christmas Day, the character vanished leaving her father Marlon Dingle, played by Mark Charnock, to discover she had fled the house.

Early in December, 15-year-old April suffered an abduction orchestrated by boxer promoter Jade's (Twinnie Lee-Moore) henchmen and was threatened with death. She also unearthed the true cause of her mother's death, leading to a downward spiral in her behaviour, Leeds Live reports.

Viewers saw her stepping into an unidentified car on Boxing Day, silently looking out as it drove away. Marlon has been trying to locate Jade for leads on April's location and alerted the authorities. The villagers have come together to mount a search effort.

In their quest for clues, the police found contraceptive pills in April's room, prompting fears among the Emmerdale faithful that she might be pregnant and could have thus eloped due to trepidation. Speculations are rife about April's close friend Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) potentially being the father, based on the duo's recent heart-to-heart exchanges.

On Reddit, a fan queried: "April pregnant? " Another chimed in, stating preference for a storyline involving Arthur: "I'd rather she was pregnant with someone like Arthur."

They remarked: "Think it could be a weird/interesting storyline if they'd for some reason experimented together while she was off the rails and he for some reason agreed to try with a girl lol before realising nah he's not into her."

Another fan added their voice, saying: "No idea, but I do like the mystery and the fact that stuff has obviously happened off screen. We don't know what the hell has happened, and it makes for interesting viewing. Normally they just make it obvious up front with the writing, so it's a nice surprise."

Fans are also questioning additional plot threads, with one viewer querying on X: "April went out for a bit..........Is she going to be pregnant next then? #Emmerdale."
