I'm A Celebrity viewers are abuzz with predictions of a major plot twist, following a cryptic announcement by presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
They hinted at "a big surprise" that would take over the camp, revealing all would come to light on Wednesday's episode - while Joel Dommett also let slip some details on Unpacked.
They confirmed there wouldn't be an eviction on the Wednesday night show (December 4), as the public vote remained closed after Melvin Odoom's departure from the ITV series on Tuesday.
Despite confirming that the vote was still closed and that viewers could not vote for who they wanted out next, Ant and Dec kept quiet about whether anyone would be leaving at all.
On platform X, fans voiced their concerns and theories about what might unfold. Some are convinced a twist is imminent, with two popular speculations emerging amongst viewers: a departed campmate making a dramatic return or, with the public vote off the table, the possibility of the campmates themselves being tasked with deciding who gets the boot, reports the Mirror.
Dec teased the audience, saying: "We are not reopening the vote for tomorrow because we've got a massive surprise for them. More will be revealed in tomorrow's show."
Speaking to X, one fan theorised: "No vote tomorrow because Houdini is returning," in reference to the previously ousted contestant Dean McCullough. Another viewer ventured a guess, saying: "The twist is definitely either no one's out (which I doubt) or camp vote but camp vote kinda seems obvious."
Agreeing with the speculation, a third viewer added: "What's this surprise twist? The campers can vote against each other over the normal public vote," while a fourth remarked: "The big surprise will probably be a free for all head to head and the bottom either go or go up for a quick vote. That's my prediction anyway."
Other viewers expressed their anxiety towards the unexpected development, with one stating: "No public vote.... what does this mean and should I be scared?" as another added: "No vote? I don't like the sound of this."
But spin-off host Joel soon confirmed what was really going on, revealing that the campmates will have to battle it out for tokens. He announced that whoever won the tokens would be exempt from the next two vote-offs, and would make it to Celebrity Cyclone.
Meanwhile, in the latest developments of the ITV jungle series, it was announced by Ant and Dec that Tulisa Contostavlos had been voted off by the public, becoming the third celebrity to exit the show after Jane Moore and the departure of Dean. Hot on Tulisa's heels, Melvin found himself leaving the jungle on Tuesday.
