The Chase has been a firm favourite for over 15 years in the mid-evening slot since its debut on ITV in 2009.
However, the beloved programme is set to undergo a significant makeover as it plans to alter its questions for the first time ever.
Bradley Walsh's renowned quiz show is getting a revamp for a special episode, aiming to add some excitement and deliver a unique edition that coincides with the forthcoming Oscars ceremony next weekend, the Mirror reports.
Contestants will have their trivia knowledge put to the test while also honouring the glitz of the famous awards event, and it's understood that one of the Chasers is already brushing up on past Oscar ceremonies.
An insider revealed to The Sun the new twist to the usual format, stating: "ITV are going big on the Oscars again this year and getting The Chase crew involved."
They shared more details: "Starting with the contestants - who are named after nominated hopefuls Demi Moore, Karla Sofia Gascon, Timothee Chalamet and Adrien Brody."
The source added: "They'll be up against Shaun Wallace, aka The Dark Destroyer, who has been brushing up on his Oscars knowledge."
But it's not just the show's format that's been causing a stir, rumours around Bradley Walsh's future with the programme have also been circulating.
The 64-year-old has hosted the ITV show since its inception, even having a role in naming several of the Chasers on the quiz show.
Bradley Walsh has now excitedly declared his intentions to host an all-new programme, Bradley Walsh: Egypt's Cosmic Code, assuring fans that they will witness a side of him they've "never seen before". His fresh journey will see him uncovering the wonders of Ancient Egypt.
