Jennifer Lopez had a Thanksgiving at home complete with a turkey and stuffing, while estranged husband Ben Affleck spent the day with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
J. Lo, 55, shared a photo on Friday, November 29, showing her posing in front of her perfectly cooked bird on a white platter in her kitchen. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer smiled while wearing glam makeup, her hair pulled back in a long ponytail and a gorgeous sweater.
“I hope everybody had a beautiful and Happy Thanksgiving. I am so incredibly grateful for all of you,” Jennifer wrote in the caption.
The Atlas star received warm wishes from fans and celebrity pals alike. DJ and music producer Diplo commented, “Love u too,” while comedian Nikki Glaser gushed, “No one prettier.”
While J. Lo shared how she spent her first Thanksgiving since filing for divorce from Ben, 52, in August, he spent the holiday helping feed those in need in downtown Los Angeles with Jennifer, 52.
The duo posed for a photo in their aprons and gloves shared by The Midnight Mission, as the organization wrote how they were “honored” to have the stars join them for the holiday.
“Their kindness, warmth, and dedication brought so much joy to our Skid Row community,” the caption read. “Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and sharing smiles on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving — coming together to support one another.”
Jennifer shared how the former couple’s daughter, Violet, had a sad return home from college at Yale, as their beloved golden retriever, Birdie, died shortly after her arrival for Thanksgiving.
In an Instagram post Jennifer shared on Thanksgiving Eve, she posted photos of her beloved pet, which she got in 2015 upon her split from Ben. The pooch has been a staple on her social media pages and her family’s dog for Violet, 18, Fin and son Sam as they grew up amid their parents’ 2018 divorce.
“We were surprised to learn that, not only was she very ill, she was at the end of her life,” the 13 Going on 30 star wrote after detailing how Birdie had stopped eating the week prior.
“The vet told us that dogs often hang on until their person comes home from college and we believe Birdie did just that, so that we could pet her soft ears together and thank her for being the world’s best dog,” she added. Ben and Jennifer dropped Violet off at college in August, just prior to J. Lo filing for divorce to end their two-year marriage.
Since then, the Hustlers star has continued to live in the sprawling Beverly Hills marital mansion she purchased with Ben in May 2023. The former couple formally listed it for sale in July for $68 million, but it hasn’t had any takers yet.
Meanwhile, Violet has remained close to J. Lo’s family. She was visited at Yale by her former stepmother’s sister, Lynda Lopez, in early November, as the pair spent the weekend together in New Haven, Connecticut, where the coed attends school.
