Ja Rule Responds After Las Vegas Blogger Slams 50 Cent’s Residency

Ja Rule is weighing in on 50 Cent’s Las Vegas residency.

Not long after posting that his New Year’s resolution is “to be petty,” the 48-year-old rapper is already making good on his word by coming down on his longterm rival Fifty after an influencer slammed his Vegas concert.

Jennifer Gay, a longtime 50 Cent fan who shares Vegas travel tips as @Vegasstarfish to her one million Instagram followers, wasn’t impressed by Fifty’s recent performance in Sin City.

“50 Cent's Las Vegas residency might be the worst show that's ever come to Vegas,” she said in a voiceover to her video review shared on IG. “The theater was mostly full and people seemed to be excited about it, but take a minute to listen and then I'll share why I thought it was terrible.”

She continued, “The sound in the theater was terrible and the hype men were louder than him for the entire show. He spoke once only to say he was doing six shows and then he was done. He performed 84 minutes and then walked off stage. It really felt like he didn't want to be there. These were not cheap seats.”

Elsewhere in the comments section, she explained that she’s seen Fifty perform “decades ago and it was pure magic” but thought his Vegas show “was the opposite of that.” She also criticized the G-Unit rapper for his “lack of energy” and for leaving the stage without thanking the audience.

Gay’s review was re-shared to X where it caught the attention of Ja Rule on Wednesday.

“Not the worst… 😂🤣😭 #ICONN,” he wrote in a post before replying to other fans.

In case you were wondering, Ja Rule does in fact have experience with Vegas residencies. He performed with DJ Cassidy for his Pass The Mic Live! Vegas concerts alongside Fat Joe, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh at Planet Hollywood’s PH Live, the same venue where Fifty’s residency is currently being performed.

The men also performed from Vegas for the broadcast of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent: In Da Club will play its final performance at Planet Hollywood on Jan. 6.
