James Corden is back on our screens as Gavin and Stacey returns for one final episode this Christmas.
The hit sitcom first hit screens in 2007 and the cast have confirmed that this year's special will the final ever episode that fans will see, marking the end of their story for good.
The big question on the minds of fans is what happened with James Corden's character Smithy and Ruth Jones' Nessa, after she proposed at the end of 2016's Christmas special.

Is James Corden married?
James has been married to wife Julia since 2012, after they were introduced by James' friend Dominic Cooper. The couple share three children - Max who was born in 2011, Carey who came along in 2014, and their youngest daughter Charlotte who was born in 2017.
Julia is incredibly private and stays out of the spotlight, along with the couple's three kids.
Relationship with former Gavin and Stacey co-star
Before falling in love with Julia, James had a two-year relationship with his Gavin and Stacey co-star Sheridan Smith. The pair first started dating in 2007 after starring in the hit sitcom, in which they played brother and sister; Smithy and Rudi. The pair split in 2008, before reuniting later in the year, with Jams telling the Mirror at the time: "Yes, Sheridan and I are back together and it’s going brilliantly."
However, the pair called it quits for good in 2009. In an interview a number of years later, Sheridan said of that time: "I wasn't someone who was in a frame of mind of settling down."
Hosting the Late Late Show in the US
James and his family spent several years living in the US, as he hosted The Late Late Show from 2015, up until April 2023. When he departed the show after eight years of presenting it, he said it was because he wanted to move back to the UK to raise his children there and be closer to his family.
Since leaving the show, he has made his return to theatre, starring in the play The Constituent in London throughout the summer.
He hosts a podcast called This Life of Mine and he has also spent much of the year filming the Gavin and Stacey finale.
Staggering net worth
Metro UK has reported that James Corden's net worth stands at around £70 million. It was previously reported that he earnt around $6 million (£4.7 million) each year to host the Late Late Show.
